| Federal Program Description |
The objective of this program is to provide financial assistance which can be leveraged to support widespread deployment of renewable energy installations throughout communities on a sustained basis. Successful applicants will demonstrate how large-scale renewable energy deployment will be facilitated through a comprehensive community energy strategy, adoption of codes and standards to support interconnection of renewable energy systems into the grid, financing, and partnerships with utilities, the renewable energy industry, and government agencies. This is part of the Applied Research, Development, Demonstration and Deployment Activities program for technologies related to energy efficiency and renewable energy.
