Federal Program Description

The Port Authority of NY & NJ was awarded $48,286,592 under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Rail and Transit Security Grant Program – Capital Projects.  This rant will provide funding for tunnel hardening projects at the Port Authority Trans Hudson between the state of New York and New Jersey.  The project is a component of the Department of Homeland Security’s Infrastructure Protection Activities coordinated, national effort to strengthen the security of America’s critical infrastructure.
