| Federal Program Description |
The Advanced Research Projects Agency - Energy (ARPA-E) Program aims:
- To enhance economic and energy security by identifying technologies with the potential to reduce energy imports from foreign sources; reduce energy-related greenhouse gas emissions; and improve efficiency across the energy spectrum; and
- To ensure the U.S. maintains a technological lead in developing and deploying advanced energy technologies.
ARPA-E will uniquely focus on high risk, high payoff concepts - technologies promising true energy transformations.
