Brownfield grants are available, on a competitive bases, to eligible entities for brownfield eligible activities under job training grants, brownfield site assessment, investigation and cleanup grants and for establishing brownfield revolving loan funds for the investigation and cleanup of brownfield eligible sites. The application submission deadlines vary by grant type.. ARRA funds provided supplemental funding which resulted in additional grants being awarded from the universe of pending applications. DEC did not receive any brownfield grants funded by ARRA funds.. Two job training grants were awarded to eligible not for profit entities and one revolving loan grant was awarded to Niagara County.
