  • DHCR receives funding from DOE and distributes funds to a network of local community organizations to meet local household needs
Potential Uses
  • Assist income-eligible households to reduce their heating and cooling costs and improve the safety of their homes
Energy Efficiency Appliance Rebate Program and the Energy Star Program
$ ARRA – $300,000,000

$ NYS Share - Formula allocation to NYSERDA still to be determined
 
Status
  • Pending issuance of funding opportunity by DOE
  • NYSERDA will receive funds from DOE and structure program for distribution of funds
Potential Uses
  • Provide incentives to replace old appliances with energy efficient ENERGY STAR® Products
Alternative Fueled Vehicles Pilot Grants
$ ARRA – $300,000,000

$ NYS Share - $ from competitive grants to be determined
 
Status
  • DOE issued Funding Opportunity Announcement; proposals due on 5/29/2009
  • Joint proposal being coordinated by NYSERDA with local Clean Cities Groups
  • Applicants must be members of DOE Clean Cities Coalition in New York State

Diesel Emission Reduction Act Grants

  • EPA issued Request for Applications for Clean Diesel Emerging Technologies Program on 3/6/2009; applications due on 5/5/2009
  • EPA issued Request for Applications for SmartWay Clean Diesel Finance Program on 3/6/2009; applications due on 4/28/2009

  • Support diesel emission reduction programs
  • Support the use, development and commercialization of emerging technologies that reduce emissions from diesel engines
  • Support the creation of national, state or local innovative clean diesel financing programs
Transportation Electrification
